Step-by-Step Guide: Applying for the CDAP Boost Your Business Technology (BYBT) Grant

Who is Eligible for CDAP?

You are encouraged to apply if you:

Are a for-profit business.
Have between 1 – 499 full time equivalent employees.
Have an annual revenue between $500,000 and $100,000,000 in one of the previous three tax years from the date of submitting a grant application.

What is the CDAP application process?

  • Account Creation: Create your CDAP account – this is where your digital adventure begins.
  • Consent and Verification: Grant consent to use your Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) business information. This is crucial for verifying your eligibility.
  • CRA Login: Use your My Business Account credentials to log into the CRA website.
  • Eligibility Check: Complete the eligibility check - a vital step to ensure you meet the criteria.
  • Application Details: Provide relevant business information to finalize your application.
  • Sign the Agreement: Seal your commitment by signing the CDAP grant agreement.

Finding Your Digital Guide

  • Identify Your Needs: Start by pinpointing what your business needs to flourish digitally.
  • Advisor Marketplace: Dive into the Digital Advisor Marketplace – your resource for finding the right expertise.
  • Selection Process: Assess and select a digital advisor who aligns with your business vision. Or you can book a call with us right away.
  • Collaborative Planning: Work closely with your advisor, an ISED-approved and certified professional, to craft your digital plan.

Plan Submission and Grant Disbursement

  • Submit for Success: Present your plan and invoices to ISED for approval.
  • Grant Glory: Get ready to receive up to $15,000, covering 90% of your eligible advisory fees – a significant financial leap towards your digital goals.
Step04

Unlocking Additional Financial Resources

  • Plan Approval: Once your plan gets the green light, log in to the CDAP portal on ISED's site.
  • Loan Application: Access BDC's link through the portal to apply for a loan of up to $100,000, amplifying your digital transformation.
